Our 4/13 match featured a fun near/far transition drill, along with the most involved stage to date: An 18-round twisted course which finished with a couple of swinging targets to frustrate us all. We had another great turnout - 25 total shooters, including 2 youth and 2 of the Family Shooting Academy staff. Everyone seemed to have a great/safe time.

This was the last match that I am able to coordinate (at least until the fall). There will be a summer break. So please make sure you're on the FSA email list to receive updates on matches and other events in the future. Also sign up for the Skills Builder League starting May 1st. I'd like to personally thank the FSA staff for making this all happen. It's been an awesome experience for me. Also, a big thanks to all of the safety officers and the shooters who took part in the matches. Hopefully I'll see you soon on the shooting lines.

Thanks!
Matt

The 3/16 match was our biggest turn-out yet! There were more new faces, along with some familiar ones. As always, thank you to all of the shooters, Safety Officers and the Family Shooting Academy staff for pulling it all together. We were able to run through another three stages. Two of them were standards-based, including a brain-bending V-Drill. There was also a scenario stage, which featured a rather interesting wall prop. Everyone seemed to have a great time while keeping safety a priority.

Scores should now be posted. Please email if you notice any mistakes or have any questions. Congrats to Joe K for taking the overall win, along with most accurate.

The next match is on 3/30, with online registration opening shortly. We will have a fresh set of courses and encourage everyone to sign up early if you want to ensure yourself a spot.

Once again, thanks to everyone involved. We hope to see you at one of the upcoming matches!

Our first night of Action Pistol was a great success!! A big thank you goes out to all of our shooters, RO's and especially the Family Shooting Academy staff for making it possible. There was a great mix of new and experienced shooters, with everyone helping to keep things moving along safely and efficiently. We wound up going through things faster than expected and had the opportunity to shoot each stage twice, sending approximately 1200 rounds down range. Best of all, we were nice and comfortable on the indoor range.

Scores are now posted. I did my best to double-check everything, but mistakes are definitely possible. Please feel free to email if you have any questions.

Our next match will be on 3/2/14, with online registration opening up shortly. The current plan is to use the same stages and give preference to shooters who were unable to attend the first match. We will then have new stages and open up registration to all shooters for the 3/16 match.

Again, thanks to everyone who helped put this together. I hope to see you on the range!
